Bread Anyone??
Harper’s Homemade Bread has their bakery right here in Pocatello!! They make their bread with no preservatives or additives. If you like to buy your food locally, this is one company that you’ll want to add to your list. They are located at 1102 South 2nd Avenue, just a couple of blocks south of St. Vincent de Paul thrift store. They have a day-old bread outlet down south at the intersection of Bannock Highway and Country Club at the Chevron Station, which is kind of far for some families. The price there is 89 cents per loaf, and there is a 6 loaf limit. But did you know you can go straight to the bakery on 2nd Avenue, go in the side door, and purchase as many fresh loaves as you want? Boy, is it ever good freshly baked the same day you eat it! The cost is $1.50 per loaf. If you double-bag and freeze it, it is just as yummy when you get it out and defrost it. Call Harpers at
478-1259 to get the days and times that they sell to the public.
